3D Printing

I have heard a lot about 3D printing in the past few months, but I haven’t been able to wrap my head around how it works. Well, surprise surprise, here’s a great Ted Talk on the fundamentals of 3D printing:

So basically it’s a manufacturing process that builds products similar to how images are built on paper by a printer. It’s really fascinating, especially near the end when she talks about scientists doing this with cells.
